About Us

Our heaters are especially designed for greenhouse use but are equally  suitable for workshops, stores etc and almost every application requiring  RAPID, AUTOMATIC, RELIABLE heating and air circulation with economy, all  contained in one ‘plug in’ space saving unit.

Our heaters are used widely throughout the country and into Europe. Listed  among our many satisfied customers are the Royal Horticultural Society Gardens  at Wisley and Medwyn Williams of Garden News fame.

Parwin heaters do not depend upon a single heating element as is usual  with heaters of this kind. Each element  works independently to ensure complete frost protection. The elements are wound with the highest quality  nickel chrome wire and are designed to last indefinitely, the heat being  dispersed by the airflow from the fan. In the unlikely event of an element failing a complete new element can  be obtained direct from us and can easily be fitted by a competent person. No loss of use of the heater, no sending it  back to our works to have a new element fitted. Unless, of course, you would like us to fit it for you which we are  happy to do.

The special two-way switch gives you the option of the fan running  continuously or stopping and starting as the thermostat cuts itself on and  off. For summer ventilation the switch  can be used to operate the fan continuously without heat for air circulation. The heavy duty motor is designed for  continuous running and normally requires no attention as the bearings are fed  with oil form special felt pads pre-lubricated at manufacture.

All materials and components used in the construction of these extremely  robust heaters are of the highest quality. Every heater is made here to our very high standards and tested before  it leaves our works. We offer a full one  year guarantee on each heater to ensure your complete satisfaction.

Parwin heaters are built to last unlike much of the throw-away  merchandise of today. Forget about coke,  gas and paraffin, dirt and fumes. When  you plug in your Parwin heater you will know the joy of clean, buoyant moving  warm air, so beneficial for healthy plant life and can feel confident in the  knowledge that you have bought what we believe to be the best on the  market. And in the summer months when  the old coke, gas or oil burners are useless your greenhouse will wax  prosperous with fan circulated cool air and ventilation. Moreover these heaters are designed to be  safely left in operation whilst one is away at work or on holiday.

Knowledge gained from years of manufacture, and listening to our  customers, has enabled us to develop our unique range of remote thermostat  controlled heaters.

The remote electronic thermostat with its selective  range from 1ºC to 25ºC, accurate to within +/- 1ºC ensuring total reliability  and flexibility not possible with mechanical thermostats over long  periods. Our remote electronic  thermostat is economical to use being sited independently of the heater and  therefore monitors greenhouse temperature where the plants are. Gently circulating the air throughout the  greenhouse (warm in winter, cool in summer) ensuring healthy plant growth and aiding  prevention of botryis, mildew, tomato leaf mould and other plant ailments.

A wide frontal area gives a gentle but vigorous sweep of air (up to 141  litres/second) and will not scorch plants nearby in its path. The air is circulated by an extremely  reliable flow fan. The heating elements  are the highest quality nickel/chrome and guaranteed to give long service. They operate independently of each other,  therefore, if one should fail the others continue to operate ensuring complete  frost protection. To operate simply set  temperature to required level.

Safety

Specifically for greenhouse use its components are designed to withstand all greenhouse conditions. The sealed  electronic thermostat is water resistant to IP54. The sensor is mounted in a plastic spigot and  coated against moisture borne contamination. The elements are insulated away from the casing eliminating dangers from  condensation. The two-way switch,  internal wiring and cable entry are drip proof and dirt resistant.

Construction

Strongly made from robust steel with a special powdercoat finish making it immensely tough and durable, easy to maintain and clean.
